Can I certify a true copy of a document for my spouse?

Yes! You may certify a true copy of a document on behalf of your spouse or common law partner if they are not able to attend your in-person notary appointment, but you will need: 

• a notarized letter of consent from your spouse, and/or 
• have your spouse attend the meeting via video call
