Can the witnesses electronically / digitally sign the Will or Power of Attorney?

No. At this time, Wills and Power of Attorneys are prohibited from being electronically signed, in accordance with section 31 of the Ontario Electronic Commerce Act.

Note that as of Nov. 12, 2021, NotaryPro no longer provides the second witness to clients for virtual witnessing appointments. Clients are responsible for ensuring they provide a valid witness at the time of their appointment.
