Yes. A Representation Agreement is a standard form document similar to a Power of Attorney, which the government of British Columbia (BC) provides to anyone.
The Representation Agreement (RA) requires two witnesses to sign, in addition to the Adult giving the representation power, and finally must be signed by the appointed Representative.
As of May 19, 2020, the BC government authorized virtual witnessing of this document type through Ministerial Orders M161 and M162.
Notary Pro offers Canada's first fully online virtual witnessing service. A licensed Notary Public and lawyer will virtually meet with you and your appointed Representative and will serve as one of your witnesses for the RA. You must provide the second witness, thus greatly simplifying the signing process.
We will then mail you the original counterpart copy of the signed RA.
Note that as of Nov. 12, 2021, NotaryPro no longer provides the second witness to clients for virtual witnessing appointments. Clients are responsible for ensuring they provide a valid witness at the time of their appointment.
Book your virtual witnessing (will signing) appointment now.
