Great Question! At NotaryPro, our goal is to make commissioning your documents as quick and easy as possible while ensuring the integrity of both your document and the commissioning process. Below is a 5-step guide that will outline what to expect during your appointment.
Step 1: Click the link in your confirmation e-mail. After clicking on the link, your web browser will open in a new window and you will be able to join our Notary and view your document. There should not be any additional programs that you will need to download.
Step 2: Once you have joined the video conference, our Notary will start by introducing him or herself and will also ask to verify your government issued photo ID on camera.
Step 3: Next, you will access your document by clicking the button on your screen. At this point, the Notary will administer an oath, affirmation or declaration where you are confirming that the contents of the document are true.
Step 4: You will then be asked to sign the document, while in the video conference. You will sign the document by clicking on the box around your signature and typing, drawing or uploading a signature. The Notary Public will also sign and add their Notarial seal of office to the document.
Step 5: After the meeting, your digitally signed and commissioned document will be e-mailed to you within no more than about 5 minutes.
